Club Rotario Ensenada Riviera - our "sister club" in Ensenada, Mexico
For the past twenty years, Newport-Irvine Rotary Club has visited Mexico and carried out community service projects. These projects have involved our members, UCI Rotaract students, church groups, other Rotary clubs, friends, spouses and our sister-club partners in Mexico. To date our Rotary Club along with our partners RI matching grants have invested over $ 75,000 in Ensenada Mexico. Click to Visit Club Rotario Ensenada Riviera
Our "hands-on" construction projects have included:
- School for Handicapped Children: Original Construction, repairs and improvements
- Improvements for a senior citizens center
- Flu Immunization Program
- Volunteer Lifeguard Equipment
- School Painting & Furniture Installation project
Our matching grant projects have included:
- Handicapped school Construction Project
- Jaws-of-Life Emergency Equipment for auto accident victims
- School desks and supplies
Seoul-Sae Hanyang Rotary Club - our Sister Club in Seoul, South Korea
- US-Korea Teacher exchange program to help improve understanding between our countries.
Rotary/Shelterbox USA This is an emergency support program for Disaster Victims. Shelter boxes are designed to be "instant Support" equipment for a family who have lost everything, from tent to supplies. The box we co-sponsored with UCI Rotaract last year was recently deployed to Madagascar after the cyclone there.
